| Alyssa Nicole Sherland, 7 03/09/01 |
| Diva Alyssa!
Alyssa was a child who radiated confidence and leadership. She was “Prideful” and very competitive in everything that she did.
She enjoyed gymnastics and was an avid reader. On more than one occasion, Alyssa stated that she would like to be a scientist.
She was a lively child and that was evident in the stylish clothes that she selected. She was very fashionable to be so young. Alyssa was special in many ways, too many to count. To name a few, she was very intuitive, loving and caring, however, she was strong in nature. What made Alyssa even more special was her love for her brother, Ryan. At every turn, you would always see her tagging along with her big brother whom she loved tremendously. They were simply inseparable!
To describe Alyssa, she was beautiful, intelligent, competitive and a leader. She will be missed dearly & society has lost one of it’s future leaders!

Her dad took this photo of the butterfly in his garage monday, he and Alyssa and Ryan found the catapillers 3 weeks ago and put them in a box.

| Ryan Alexander Sherland, 9 05/27/98 |
A vibrant yet quiet boy since the day he was born. His drive and athleticism was evident since his younger days. Ryan’s love of cars came from his Dad who used to let him pretend that he was a driver. Ryan’s room was always filled with his favorite race cars and thoroughly enjoyed the times when his Dad would take him to the local car shows. He was a race car fanatic!!
At the age of five years old, Ryan began playing soccer on a team that was later coached by his Dad. In no time their team, a part of the Dearfield Beach Strikers, began winning championships. Ryan was a winner and a strong leader!
In the meantime, Ryan was also busy becoming a track star. He did very well in this and other sports including baseball and football. His football team in Florida won the Pee-Wee Football championships in 2005. When he moved to North Carolina, he began playing on the Matthew’s U-11 Raiders.
What made Ryan even more special was his love for his sister Alyssa. At every turn one would always see Ryan protecting his sister, with a protective and loving arm around her.
To sum it all up, Ryan’s short life was reflective of him as a winner, leader, protector and a calm soul. He will be missed dearly and society has lost one of it’s future leaders! |
